Mysore, Nov 19 (UNI) Karnataka thrashed Andhra by 202 runs to register their first win in the Elite Group ''B'' match in the Ranji Trophy cricket championship here today.
Andhra, resuming their overnight score of 28 for 4 wickets in persuit of a victory target of 320, was bowled out for 117 runs before lunch on the fourth and final day.
The hosts outplayed visitors in all departments. Karnataka have seven points from three matches and Andhra just two from the same number.
Karnataka will play against Baroda from November 23 at Bangalore.
K P Appanna 4/24, R Vinaykumar 3/27 and Veteran left arm spinner Sunil Joshi 2/47 struck to skittle out Andhra in their second knock.
While Karnataka had made 366 and 171, Andhra made 218 runs in their first innings.
A G Pradeep was the lone Andhra player to show some resistance and scored 41.
