Bhopal, Nov 19 (UNI) Rashtriya Swabhiman Andolan (RSA) head and former BJP ideologue K N Govindacharya today strongly condemned detention of Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur by the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad in Malegaon bomb blast case.
Talking to reporters here, he said the Congress had been levelling baseless charges against the Sadhvi and dubbing her as Malegaon blast-accused while coining terms like 'Hindu terrorism'.
Taking a dig at the Congress, he said associating the word 'Hindu' with 'terrorism' was same as joining the word 'White' with 'Crow' and 'Black' with 'Swan'.
He said that one can not equate the guilty and the victim.
Criticising the role of BJP President Rajnath Singh in the Sadhvi Pragya issue, the former BJP senior leader said that Mr Singh lacked decision making power.
''Earlier, the BJP President stated that he felt ashamed of admitting Sadhvi Pragya as his acquaintance. However, later he alleged that the ATS was putting the sadhvi through numerous narco tests,'' he said. adding Hindu outfits had been insulted eventually.
''We should go to the root cause of the matter and find truth,'' he said, adding that the Congress was playing minority appeasement politics.
Citing a book 'Navlay Anubodh', he alleged the BJP had sold tickets to candidates during the current assembly polls.
The BJP started with a noble aim but it was now distorted, corrupted and has become like other political parties.
Recent issues like ticket selling and delaying in taking decision in Pragya case exposed the BJP's real face, he said.
On being asked, whether he would support the Congress or the BJP in case of hung assembly in Madhya Pradesh, he added that he will reveal his strategies in appropriate time.
