Chaturvedi to undergo brain-mapping, polygraphy tests
Mumbai, Nov 19 (UNI) The arrested member of Abhinav Bharat group, Sudhakar Chaturvedi, who underwent a narco test at Bangalore FSL yesterday, will undergo brain-mapping and polygraphy tests at Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) at Kalina campus of Mumbai University in north-west Mumbai today.
Speaking to UNI, Senior Police Inspector Sunil Deshmukh said ''After conducting a narco test on Chaturvedi at Bangalore FSL yesterday, we took him to Kalina Campus FSL for conducting brain-mapping and polygraphy tests.'' Replying to a query, he said Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) is yet to take custody of Chaturvedi. They (ATS) may take his custody after conducting all scientific tests, he added.
On November 4, the Matunga Police arrested Chaturvedi from Dadar railway station and seized a pistol, three live cartridges and a fake Army identity card from his possession.
Mr Deshmukh said during interrogation, he revealed that he is an active member of Abhinav Bharat, a radical Hindu outfit. Some other members of this organisation include Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur and Lt Col Prasad Srikant Purohit among others. They all are behind the bars for their alleged involvement in the September 29 Malegaon bomb blasts that claimed six lives and injured several others.
