London, November 19 : Celine Dion has been forced to delay a series of her shows owing to a respiratory illness.
The Canadian pop diva, who is in the middle her 'Taking Chances' world tour, had already scrapped performances in Minneapolis, Minnesota; Chicago, Illinois and Indianapolis, Indiana earlier in November.
'The Beauty and the Beast' singer has been further asked by her doctor to drop further shows in Tulsa, Oklahoma; Kansas City and St Louis, Missouri; Salt Lake City, Utah; San Jose, California; Omaha, Nebraska and Denver, Colorado, reports the Daily Express.
Celine, who has already reorganized the show dates for December, January and February, is recuperating from a recurrent infection, a condition which has been further aggravated by inflamed vocal cords.
Concert promoter AEG Live released a statement adding: "Her physician has instructed her to refrain from singing in order to completely recover."
