BSNL internet service disrupted in Kashmir
Srinagar, Nov 19 (UNI) Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd's internet service in the Kashmir valley was disrupted since this morning as a system in Bangalore has developed some fault, affecting the normal working of its users.
The internet services were affected as the main hub at Bangalore has developed some fault late last night, a BSNL official told UNI.
One of the two systems at Bangalore station is down, he said adding that besides, Jammu and Kashmir, few Northern and Southern states are also affected as they are connected to the affected system.
However, he said, engineers and other staff were working to restore the fault on war footing.
Meanwhile, journalists working with national and international media organisation had to face hard time because of non-availability of internet.
The failure of the system has also affected the functioning of some banks. However, majority banks in the valley have their own system for on-line banking.
Students, doctors and other professionals were also affected due to internet failure.
