Sasaram, Nov 19 (UNI) A 15-year-old boy was brutally beaten up and hurled before a running train under Durgawati police station in Bihar's Kaimur district, police said today.
They said one Manish Thakurai was kidnapped by the relatives of the girl with whom he fell in love few months ago.
He was mercilessly beaten up for almost two hours in presence of local people, who did not even dare to protest the incident.
On getting information, Manish's mother rushed to the spot and begged for the life of her son but all fell on deaf ears.
The aggrieved mother Lalita Devi approached the local police station and alleged that even police remained mute spectators during the ordeal of his son.
''My son was tonsured and paraded through main fares of the locality before being thrown a running train by the girl's relatives, killing him on the spot,'' she said.
''My son's could have been saved if police acted promptly,'' the wailing mother said.
The bereaved mother filed an FIR in local police station naming three relatives of the girl as accused. The accused are Birendra Baitha, Dhulali Baitha and Yogendra Baitha, police said, adding a massive manhunt was launched in the area to nab them.
Meanwhile, DIG A R Ambedkar suspended Sub-Inspector Asgar Imam for dereliction of duty and ordered SDPO of Mohania to probe into the matter.
Mr Ambedkar also ordered the local police to ensure that those involved in killing of Manish be arrested immediately.
