400 more Hajis left for Jeddah from J and K
Srinagar, Nov 19 (UNI) Another batch of 400 hajis from Jammu and Kashmir left in two special flights for Jeddah from Sheikh-ul-Alam International Airport here today, official sources said.
Since the departure of pilgrims began on October 30, a total of 5186 hajis have left for undertaking the pilgrimage at two holy cities of Mecca and Madina from the state so far. However, both the flights on November 14 were cancelled due to heavy snowfall.
An estimated 8,000 pilgrims from the state would perform Haj-2008 this year in the holy cities of Mecca and Madina.
