138 swap borders at Chakan-da-Bagh in Poonch
Jammu, Nov 19 (UNI) As the cross border Poonch-Rawlakote bus service resumed after the first phase of elections in Poonch district, 138 civilians swapped borders via the Line of Control (LoC) at Chakan-da-bagh in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said here today.
''The bus service was deferred after both Indian and Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) authorities jointly agreed in view of polling in Poonch district,'' official sources told UNI.
''Ninety-one civilians, including 42 first timers from this part of the state and 49 returned back to the Pakistan occupied Kashmir,'' the sources said.
From PoK, however, 47 civilians including 20 freshers visited this side of the border to meet their divided families, while 27 Indian residents, returned back.
