Mumbai, Nov 19 (UNI) At least 109 of the 231 people detained during a high profile rave party at 'Bombay 72 Degree East' in Juhu on October 5, have tested positive for drug consumption.
Speaking to mediapersons, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Vishwas Nagre Patil said out of the total 231 people detained at the Party, reports of 119 people were received by the city police here today and 109 of them tested positive for drug consumption.
Their Urine and Blood Samples were sent to FSL (Forensic Science Laboratory) at Kalina campus for testing.
Mr Patil said they have started sending summons to concerned parties to remain present in the police station. ''Thereafter, we will initiate legal proceedings against them under NDPS act. They may face punishment upto six months,'' he said.
On October 5, police busted a rave party and detained 231 people for alleged consumption of drugs.
Eight alleged peddlers were also arrested.
Earlier, in March this year, 271 partygoers were detained at a rave party in Pune and a large quantity of drugs was seized from their possession, including marijuana and hashish, Mr Patil added.
