Pune, Nov 18 (UNI) Prasad Purohit and Sameer Kulkarni, accused in the September 29 Malegaon bomb blast case, will be produced in a local court tomorrow in connection with a forgery case and assault on a church pastor respectively.
The accused are likely to be brought to the city by the Pune Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) tonight.
Police sources have confirmed that the city police had left for Nashik and Mumbai yesterday to bring both the terror suspects to the city.
The Nashik Court today granted permission to the Pune Police to take into custody Prasad Purohit and Sameer Kulkarni, who were wanted by them.
A case of forgery was registered against Purohit by a city-based arms expert Mr Date a few days ago. The police will produce Purohit in the court tomorrow.
Mr Date had registered a case against Purohit at the office of the Mumbai ATS, who directed one Pune ATS to take-one custody of Purohit from the Nashik court.
Meanwhile, Kulkarni, a resident of Nigdi Pune, will be produced in the Khadki Court tomorrow, in connection with the assault on vineyard worker and church pastor peter David Silway.
Kulkarni, a former member of the Akhil Bhartiya Vidharthi Parishad (ABVP), is a member of Hindu Group Abhinav Bharat at present.
