Kiefer Sutherland says prison stint may help him kick the butt
Washington, November 18 : Kiefer Sutherland, who completed his 48-day- jail sentence on misdemeanour drunk driving charges, is glad to know that he is capable of giving up smoking - at least for forty eight days.
The 41-year-old, best known for his lead role of Jack Bauer on the television series '24', revealed that some good did come out his jail term - he can now trust himself to overcome unhealthy habits.
"My drinking was not a daily thing, so it wasn't an issue. And, oddly enough, neither was the smoking. I was very glad to know that I could quit. And one day soon I will." People magazine quoted him as telling 'Men's Vogue' in its December/January issue.
However 'The Sentinel' actor, while describing his prison nightmare added that compromising on his privacy was amongst the hardest thing to deal with.
He said: "The lights never go out, 24/7. You can't cover anything. You can't even put your head under a blanket. All the cells have cameras in them."
