CPI calls for all-party meeting on Lankan Tamils issue

Puducherry, Nov 18(UNI) The Communist Party of India(CPI) Puducherry unit has called for an all-party meeting this evening to discuss the Sri Lankan Tamils issue.

The party sources said it would discuss with other parties and take a decision on organising a bandh here on November 25, along with Tamil Nadu to highlight the Lankan Tamils issue and to express solidarity with them.

The major parties were expected to keep away from the meeting, the sources added.
