BJP misleading people: Babbar
Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, Nov 18 (UNI) Bollywood actor and Congress MP Raj Babbar today alleged that Chhattisgarh's Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) regime was misleading the people by presenting trumped-up statistics.
''Corruption and black-marketing spiralled during BJP rule.
Development work did not take place despite abundant assistance from the Centre's United Progressive Alliance government. BJP leaders 'developed' but the public's suffering increased,'' he told mediapersons here.
Pointing out that Chief Minister Raman Singh was claiming that 35 lakh families were being provided 35 kg rice at Rs 3 per kg every month over the past six months, Babbar spoke of receiving complaints that no family received 35 kg but only a maximum 25 kg.
''After the Congress comes to power, it will provide rice at Rs 2 per kg,'' he added.
