Bangalore: BDA to file criminal case against BSNL employee

Bengaluru, Nov 18: The BDA is filing a criminal case against a BSNL employee who tried to mislead it with fictitious documents and grab a site allotted to another person.

Channamma was allotted a site No. 141, 'B' Block, Koramangala on May 15, 1984 and later took the Possession Certificate of the site after registering lease-cum-sale deed on July 20, 1984. The site was left vacant for long time and taking advantage of the situation one Esther Sarojini Alex, an employee with the BSNL, approached the BDA posing herself as Channamma.

According to a BDA release, she claimed that the original documents were lost and sought registration of a absolute sale deed. An advocate M Shankar too helped her in this deed. After investigation, the BDA officials found that Esther Sarojini Alex and M Shankar grabbed the site through illegal means. The Authoroity has decided to institute criminal proceedings against these persons.
