Kochi, Nov 18 (UNI) The 13 accused in the Azna attempt- to- murder case today filed an appeal before the Kerala High Court, challenging the sessions court order convicting them under 307 of the IPC.
The Thalassery sessions court had yesterday convicted and sentenced the 13 accused for the September 27, 2000, bomb explosion at Kannur, in which a six-year-old girl Azna lost her legs.
The sessions court had sentenced the fifth accused Nerodh Ramachandran to ten years' imprisonment with a fine of Rs 25,000, and the other accused to five years' imprisonment.
