Activists ransack Corporation office
Gulbarga, Nov 18 (UNI) About one hundred activists of "Kannada Rakshna Vedike", stormed the Municipal Corporation office and destroyed documents and smashed glass doors to protest against sign boards and name boards in English.
The activists, led by its President Amrutha Patil, stormed into the office shouting slogans against the officials for not using Kannada as official language.
The police said the activists painted tar over the name and sign boards in the office. They also ransacked the Deputy Mayor's office.
Municipal Corporation Commissioner K V Jagadish lodged a police complaint against the activists.
