Jamshedpur (Jharkhand), Nov 18 (UNI) Claiming that seven children have been bitten to death by street dogs so far this year in this 'steel city', ruling Jharkhand Mukti Morcha Central Secretary Nasar Firdausi today warned that the party would intensify its agitation if the district administration failed to tackle the problem.

''We might even move court,'' he further warned.

Mr Firdausi claimed that every month at least one hundred people were being admitted to different city hospitals for treatment of dog bites.

'' There is terror of street dogs in the city and people are fearful of moving alone during night. So far seven children have died of dog biting. The special officers of Mango and Jamshedpur scheduled area committee are responsible for this problem,'' he said.

Earlier, addressing a gathering in front of Deputy Commisssioner's office, Mr Firdausi warned that he would be forced to file a public interest litigation in the court to get a solution if the district administration fails to respond at the earliest.
