461 more pilgrims leave for Jeddah from JK

Srinagar, Nov 18: Another batch of 461 Haji pilgrims from Jammu Kashmir left in two special flights for Jeddah from Sheikh-ul-Alam International Airport here, official sources said.

Since the start of departure of pilgrims on October 30, a total of 4786 pilgrims left for undertaking the Haji at two holy cities of Mecca and Madina from the state so far. However, both the flights on November 14 were cancelled due to heavy snowfall.

An estimated 8,000 pilgrims from the state would perform Hajj-2008 this year in the holy cities of Mecca and Madina.
