Resuming at Bengal's overnight score of 109 without loss, openers Banerjee and Anustup Majumder consolidated their partnership to 190 runs in first wicket before Majumder falling to Yashpal Singh at 80.

Coming fifth down Shukla was terrific both against pace and slow bowling and hit all around Eden to help Bengal score in a quickfire way. He was out at 101 trying to pull Rakesh Kumar giving a dolly to Y Singh.
His century comprised two sixers and 12 hits to the fence.
Monoj Tiwari and Wriddhiman Saha fell cheaply, scoring ten and five respectively.
At the end when stumps were drawn, Avik Choudhury and Ritam Kundu were not out on 4 and 13 respectively.
Sercvies' Rakesh Kumar also took two wickets in 99 runs in 31 overs.
Yesterday pacer Sourav Sarkar's five scalps restricted Services to 107 all out in 47.1 overs.
Rohan Banerjee, a prolific run getter in under 13, 19 and 22, later told reporters that he was initially shaky because of debut match in Ranji but he had belief that sticking to wicket would give him runs.
Shukla said he would decide with the team managment whether to go for batting or declare early or take chance of early morning dew.
