Malegaon bomb blasts case: Eight accused produced in Nashik court
Nashik, Nov 17 (UNI) Eight people accused in the September 29 Malegaon bomb blast cases were produced in the District and Sessions Court here after the expiry of judicial custody today.
Pragya Singh Thakur (accused number one), Shivnarayan Kalsangra (number two), Shyam Sahu (number three), Major (retd) Ramesh Upadhyay (number four), Sameer Kulkarni (number five), Ajay Rahirkar (number six), Rakesh Dhawade (number seven) and Jagdish Mhatre (number eight) were produced in the court of Justic H K Ganatra (fourth joint civil judge, senior division).
Today, Pragya's face was not covered with veil, whereas faces of other seven accused were covered.
Pragya, wearing a saffron-coloured robe, was seen in a relaxed mood. She smiled pleasantly when she saw her relatives, including her brother, two sisters and a brother-in-law.
Advocate Umesh Wanzade, representing Pragya, has moved an application in the court seeking permission for the Sadhvi's relatives to meet her. Lawyers of the other accused also supported the move and requested the court to pass a general directive in this regard.
