New Delhi, Nov 17 (UNI) Engineering major, Larsen&Toubro today said it has secured contracts worth Rs 700 crores from Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL)-Mittal Energy (HMEL), a joint venture (JV) between HPCL and Mittal Energy Investments.
The project order involves setting up two 4,000 TPA capacity Hydrogen Generation Units (HGU) for HMELs grassroots refinery in Bathinda, Punjab, it said in a statement.
The scope of work includes residual process design, detailed engineering, procurement, supply, transportation, storage, fabrication, inspection, construction, installation, testing, mechanical completion, pre- commissioning and commissioning.
The plant will be designed for operation with 'straight run naptha' and DHDT naptha as feed stock. The 9 million tonnes per year refinery will generate products which will meet Euro IV specifications, it added.
