Nagpur, Nov 17 (UNI) Chief of Air Staff (CAS) Air Chief Marshal Fali Homi Major today said the Indian Air Force (IAF) would soon have joint exercises with its Chinese counterpart, the first of its kind ever.
Speaking to reporters here, Air Chief Marshal Major said the joint exercises could be held ''a year or two later''.
''During my recent visit to China, I had discussions with my Chinese counterpart there and also with their Minister of Defence.
We explored the possibility of exercising together. We could have an exercise with the Chinese air force may be a year or two later,'' he said.
However, the IAF was not acquiring any hardware from China, Air Chief Marshal Major said.
Pakistan's acquisition of aircraft from China was not a cause of concern for India, he said.
