New Delhi, Nov 17: General Electric (GE) India on Monday, Nov 17 said it is 'hopeful' of achieving eight billion dollar revenue target by 2010 despite global economic crisis resulting in cancellation of orders by the US customers.

''We are on track... we are hopeful to achieve our set target,'' GE India President and Chief Executive Officer Tejpreet Singh Chopra told reporters on the sidelines of India Economic Summit here. However, the picture would be clearer by the next few quarters as the effect of the steps taken by the government to ease liquidity would show results, he added.

Though some of the US customers have cancelled their orders, Mr Chopra said the company's focus on India and China, where the crisis are not so evident as compared to the US and the Europe, will help achieve targets.
