BSF jawan kills three Bangladeshi nationals
Siliguri, Nov 17 (UNI) A BSF jawan killed at least three Bangladeshi nationals and injured one person at Nayabari Border outpost in North Dinajpur district last night.
Deputy Commandant Manoj Kumat Soni today said the BSF jawan, R D Singh, of 10th Battalion, had entered Bangladesh and shot dead all the three.
The people who were present at the site of the incident caught hold of Singh and beat him up. Singh was later admitted to Rangpur hospital in a critical condition.
However, it is not known why the jawan entered the neighbouring country and investigation in the matter was on.
Meanwhile, the Border Security Force and the Bangladesh Rifles held a flag march at the DIG level today. The BSF was led by R Chandra and Akhtabul Islam led the BDR side.
They said there was no tension at the border and situation was under control.
Mr Islam later said Singh would be handed over to the BSF.
