Indore, Nov 16 (UNI) In-form fast bowler Zaheer Khan and off-spinner Harbhajan Singh today decided to skip the practice session ahead of tomorrow's second one-dayer between India and England to give themselves some much needed rest.
The Indians are coming off a tough four-Test series at home against Australia which has left several players drained out both physically and mentally.
''The nets were optional and they wanted to rest as they felt it would be better for their tired bodies,'' Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni told mediapersons today after the team's practice session at the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium here.
Explosive middle-order batsman Yuvraj Singh, who was clearly suffering from a back problem during the first tie, also opted out.
However, injured pacer Ishant Sharma, who is down with an ankle injury, and is set to miss the second successive match of the series, was present at the nets.
