Tripura alerts WB on possible terrorist attacks
Agartala, Nov 16 (UNI) The Tripura police has alerted its West Bengal counterparts on possible terrorist attacks in a few locations of the state, official sources here today said.
According to report, Inspector General of Police (Intelligence) B K Debbarma was informed by the BSF yesterday that a group of Bangladesh-based terrorists had been planning to strike in some important locations of West Bengal.
Mr Debbarma had also provided inputs on movements of anti-Indian forces in Bangladesh along with some other confessional statements of suspected international terrorist links.
Intelligence officials indicated that after blasts in Agartala, Guwahati, Delhi, Jaipur, Bangalore and Amhedabad, the terrorists, backed by Pakistan and Bangladesh, had made West Bengal a soft target and admitted that they had spread their net in almost all the important cities in the country.
