Deoaria, Nov 16 (UNI) The alleged involvement of Hindu Seer Sudhakar Dwivedi alias Dayanand Pandey in the Malegaon bomb blast case has left the denizens of his native village here ''surprised.'' Sudhakar, the Peethadishwar of Sharda Sarvagya Peeth in Jammu, and also known by a third name Amritanand Swami, is a resident of Devghat village in Sadar tehsil here.

The Hindu Seer's arrest by the Mumbai Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) in connection with the Malegaon blast has, however, created huge astonishment among the locals, who say they were totally unaware about his activities.

As per the locals, Sudhakar had visited his native town 15 years ago, when he had just stepped into the world of spiritualism.

They also said they were shocked to know about his emerging name as a 'terrorist' into the case as he belonged to a respectable family.

Providing details about his family, the locals said his grand father Baijnath Dwivedi is a respectable man. His one son Adya Dwivedi is no more, while another Udaybhan Dwivedi is settled in Kanpur since 40 years.

Sudhakar, the son of Udaybhan -- a retired Sub-Inspector, has one brother Pushkar, who is an advocate, and two sisters Sona and Ragini. He was arrested by the Mumbai ATS from Pushkar's house in Rawatpur area of Kanpur on November 12.

A couple of days ago, the Mumbai ATS came here, but was able to gather slight information about the accused.
