Operations affected at Dabolim airport due to brushing of flights
Panaji, Nov 16 (UNI) Flight operations at Goa's Dabolim airport were affected today when a Moscow-bound Trans Aero chartered Aircraft's wing brushed with a UK-bound Iber World Charter plane, parked at the airport as the former was shifting its bay to take off.
The Airport Director Paul Manickam, speaking to UNI, said the incident occurred at around 1345 hours, however, no casualty has been reported.
Both the flights were not allowed to take off due to the incident and were detained at the airport for technical check up and further investigation is on.
Mr Paul further said technical teams from abroad and investigating team from Mumbai will be arriving tomorrow to access the damage.
The local airport authority has taken measures to monitor the regular operations, he added.
