Hyderabad, Nov 16 (UNI) Northeast monsoon has been vigorous over costal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema and isolated rain occurred over Telangana.
A release from Weather Office here today said, the minimum temperatures fell at a few places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, but rose at a few places over Telangana and Rayalaseema. They were significantly above normal at a few places over Telangana and above normal at one or two places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema.
The lowest minimum temperature of 15 degrees Celsius was recorded at Rentachintala.
Weather office predicts moderate to rather heavy rain or thundershowers were likely to occur at most places over Rayalaseema and in the districts of Mahabubnagar, Nalgonda, Rangareddy, Medak, Warangal and Khammam during the next 48 hrs.
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers were likely to occur at a few places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and in the remaining districts of Telangana.
Heavy to very heavy rain at a few places with isolated and extremly heavy falls was likely to occur over Rayalaseema and South Telangana during next 24 hours. Isolated heavy rain was likely to occur over South Coastal Andhra Pradesh during next 12hours.
Mimimum temperatures will be around 27&19 degrees Celsius respectively.
Machilipatnam and Seetharamapuram (Nellore dist) recorded a very heavy rainfall of 13 cm each followed by Kaikalur,Porumamilla 12 each, Narsapur, Gudivada 11 each, Avanigadda, Rapur 9 each, Atmakur Udayagiri , Badvel, Bhimadole, Bhimavaram 8 each, Eluru, Tadepalligudem,Tanuku , Gudur ,Repalli, Srikalahasti 7 each.
The other chief amounts of rainfall recorded in cm are Vijayawada, Addanki, Darsi, Kamalapuram, Rajampet, Tiruvuru, Venkatagiri Town six each, Bapatla,Amalapuram , Nuzvid , Satyavedu ,Sullurpet Tada, Tenali five each, the release added.
