Indian student attacked in US
Warangal, Nov 16 (UNI) Even as the people of Andhra Pradesh, particularly Telangana area, were recovering from the dastardly killing of the Hyderabad techie girl, Aparna jinaga, came the news today that a city boy doing his Masters was shot and critically wounded in the state of Tennesse in the US last evening.
Shashank Kumar, a native of Hanumkonda, was shot by unidentified Afro-Asian gunman outside his apartment in Nashville, sources said.
According to an SMS sent by his friend, Shashank was rushed to Nashville hospital with two bullet wounds in his stomach and his condition was being monitored after an emergency surgery.
Shashank, a son of a lecturer here, who had gone to America three years ago was studying his Masters and doing a part-time job.
he shared an apartment with two other friends from Andhra Pradesh.
He was rushed to a Nashville hospital, where his condition was critical.
Shashank is the seventh student from Andhra Pradesh to be attacked in the recent months in the US. Six of them had died.
