Bilaspur, Nov 16 (UNI) BSP President and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati today described the BSP is the only party in the country that wants to come to power with the help of common workers while other parties have been taking help of capitalists.

Training guns on the BJP and the Congress, Ms Mayawati said both parties had been coming to power by utilising the wealth of moneyed people and framing policies in the interest of capitalists.

Making an appeal for electing BSP candidates, she said, ''If the BSP comes to power, the government would be for poor and dalits.'' Referring to assembly polls going on in six states, the BSP President said the Congress, the BJP and their allies were spending money like water and were busy distributing liquor and other things in order to purchase votes of poor besides giving them false hopes.

She cautioned BSP supporters against such efforts.

Pointing out that Chhattisgarh was not developed even after sixty years of independence despite being rich in natural resources, she alleged that the BJP and the Congress were responsible for social and economic backwardness of dalits, tribals and poor, who become fed up due to atrocities and took to naxalism or other wrong paths.

Ms Mayawati said innocent people had become target of extremist activities as a result of this. Holding the BJP Government responsible for this, she said it had failed to resolve problems water, electricity, roads, hospitals and other problems.

She appealed to people to stop the BJP and the Congress from coming to power and bring the BSP into power in order get these problems resolved. She claimed that the party had made means of livelihood available to poor and unemployed in Uttar Pradesh.

Raising the issue of reservation, she said the Uttar Pradesh Government has made arrangement for reservation for poor Muslims.

Her party favoured reservation for poor belonging to higher caste.
