2 members of Jagan Gurjar dacoit gang injured
Morena, MP, Nov 16 (UNI) Two members of Rajasthan-based notorious dacoit Jagan Gurjar gang were injured today in police encounter at Singhpura village in this district's Chinoni area, police said.
Jagan Gurjar carried a cash reward of about Rs 11 lakh on his head announced by the Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh police.
District Superintendent of Police Santosh Kumar Singh said that Jagan has entered Rajasthan border with his injured members. Help has been taken from the neighbouring Rajasthan's Dhaulpur district police to trace the dacoits. Police has been keeping a close eye on the hospitals in different hospitals in Rajasthan.
On a tip-off that in a bid to show his activeness during poll-bound, Jagan entered here with his about a dozen men by two jeeps, police cordoned of the gang in the village.
The jeeps, a rifle and daily use material were seized from the spot.
During Gurjar agitation over reservation held recently, Jagan allegedy threatened to blow up Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje's residence at Dhaulpur. Thereafter Rajasthan police had increased the cash reward over him from few thousands to 10 lakh.
