Power supply restored to majority areas in Kashmir
Srinagar, Nov 15 (UNI) Power supply was today restored in majority areas in the summer capital, Srinagar and other district headquarter while it may take some more time to repair the electric poles and transmission lines, damaged due to snowfall, in far flung and remote areas of the valley.
Official sources said power supply to almost all hospitals, dewatering pumps and water supply schemes and other essential services was restored last evening.
The power supply was snapped after the transmission lines and electric poles were damaged due to heavy snowfall.

However, power supply to majority civilian areas in the city was restored today, they said adding work to repair damaged lines in far flung and remote areas was gong on war footing to restore the power supply to these areas.
