Karnataka to have permanent Agriculture Exhibition Center: CM
Bangalore, Nov 15 (UNI) Expressing concern over the continuation of the plight of farmers even after 60 years of independence, Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa today promised to build a seperate Exhibition Center for Agriculture to keep upbrest the farming community of the latest developments in the technology.
Speaking after presenting 'Krishi Awards' to progressive farmers, at 'Krishimela' organised by the University of Agriculture Science (UAS) Bangalore here, he said that State Government would consider the demand for a permanent center for the Exhibition.
Stating that himself hailing from farming community he was aware of the problems faced by the farmers, the Chief Minister regretted that despite several measures taken for the benefit of the farmers their status has remained to be grim.
