Kalyan objects BJP candidature from Bulandshehar, protests
Bulandshehar, Nov 15 (UNI) The dissatisfaction of senior BJP leader and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Kalyan Singh over Ashok Pradhan's candidature from Bulandshehar seat in the coming Lok Sabha election has increased with protests being seen at the party offices.
Mr Pradhan, who is a four time MP from Khurja seat, was this time announced to be in fray from Bulandshehar seat, earlier held by Kalyan Singh.
His candidature has, however, drawn a huge resentment among the BJP activists, who today staged a vociferous protest at the party office and also burnt him in effigy at Shaheed chowk here.
Mr Singh, the BJP vice-president, had earlier objected upon his candidature as he shares a sour relationship with Pradhan since last year over his alleged role in defeating his son Rajveer Singh from Dibai seat in Bulandshehar.
Bulandshehar is now a reserved seat, while Khurja, which happened to be a reserved seat is now under the normal category.
