John Mayer says it's 'nice' to have Jennifer Aniston in his life

Washington, Nov 15 : Following Jennifer Aniston's tell-all interview in which she talked about her relationship with John Mayer, the hunky singer has come out in the open to say that the 'Friends' star is somebody who 'has his back'.

Talking at Alicia Keys' Annual Keep a Child Alive Black Ball in New York City, on Nov 12, Mayer told People magazine that Aniston knows him and he feels 'nice' to have her around.

"It's really nice to have somebody in life have your back. That girl knows me ... so whether I go to bed alone or not, to have somebody who knows you in this world, that's a really nice thing," Fox News quoted him as saying.

The singer's comments come in the line of Aniston's Vogue interview, where she even went to the extent of explaining why Mayer had to announce their split to a reporter outside his gym earlier this year.

Later, on "The Oprah Winfrey Show," Aniston said that she was "lucky in love," and was seen with John Mayer out at La Esquina in Manhattan, later that night.
