Srinagar, Nov 15 (UNI) Special Haj and other normal flights resumed today after the air-traffic remained suspended yesterday due to heavy snowfall and poor visibility.
Both the special haj flights from Sheikh-ul-Alam International airport were operated for Jeddah, following improvement in the weather, airport official said.
Snow on the runway was cleared and the visibility was good, he said, adding all the incoming and outgoing flights operated normally.
Meanwhile, according to State Haj Officer, Hajjis who could not leave yesterday because of cancellation of both the special flights due to snowfall, left today for Jeddah.
He said those who were scheduled to leave today for pilgrimage, will now leave tomorrow.
The officer said new schedule for the Hajjis booked for tomorrow will be announced later while those booked for November 17 will leave as per the earlier schedule.
