Dungeon dad fathered '8 kids, not 7' with Elisabeth

London, Nov 15 : Austrian incest fiend Josef Fritzl fathered eight kids by his daughter, not seven, it has emerged.

Earlier, it was believed that Elisabeth, now 42, bore Fritzl seven kids, while she was incarcerated in a dungeon by his own father.

However, it has now been revealed that the eighth tot died ten weeks into the pregnancy. During captivity Elisabeth was left to have a miscarriage alone and plunged into such deep depression she wanted to commit suicide.

A 27-page indictment against Fritzl, 73, tells how he drugged his daughter in 1984 and forced her into a dungeon he had carved out under their house in Amstetten, Austria, reports The Sun.

Three months into her 24-year ordeal, she miscarried what would have been her first baby.

One child, a twin called Michael, died after three days and Fritzl incinerated his body in a furnace.

Elisabeth has told prosecutors she was left to give birth to all the children alone in the dank, rat-infested cellar.

At each birth her father gave her only a pair of scissors to cut the umbilical cord, a non-sterile blanket and a pack of nappies.

The indictment states: "The deliveries took place in a contaminated atmosphere without a source of fresh air, heating or hot water."

The document also describes how Fritzl forced his daughter to watch depraved porn films with him, then re-enact them.

Fritzl should spend the rest of his life in a jail for the mentally disturbed, the prosecutors said.
