Jaipur, Nov 15 (UNI) Unlike other dissidents who go rebellious following denial to party tickets, former Congress MLA Mahesh Joshi opting a pro-active role in electioneering for former minister Askq Ali Tak who is fielded by the party from the Kishanpole constituency here in his place.
Joshi won the seat in 1998 but lost election subsiquently in 2003. A strong contender for the party ticket this time too, Mr Joshi was gearing up for the electoral battle for himself but the party nominated Tak in his place.
Joshi graciously bowed to the party decision and accepted the offer of the role of charioteer for steering Tak's "Vijay Rath" on to the march of success at the husting.
Mr Tak told UNI here last evening, "Joshi is my long time associate and akin to my elder brother. He is my charioteer who is guiding me to carve out electoral triumph." Joshi said he would do his best to ensure Tak's win.
"We are working together and would do so in entire campaigning giving a clear message of unity among the partymen for the greater party's cause", Joshi asserted.
Joshi said he had given all papers pertaining to his home work about electoral facts and data of the constituency to Tak for use in the campaigning.
Leader of the Opposition in the Jaipur Municipal Corporation Ghulam Nabi, who was another contender for Congress ticket on the seat, has also extended full support and cooperation to Tak. Nabi has already initiated campaigning for Tak alongwith other party Councilors.
