Bhopal, Nov 15 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janata Party's Madhya Pradesh President Narendra Singh Tomar today accused the Congress of misusing the Maharashtra Police's Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) for fulfilling its political objectives.
''If this is not checked in time then democracy and constitutional bodies will be reduced to a farce,'' he said in a release issued here.
Sans mentioning the Malegaon serial blasts, Mr Tomar said the quantum of rumours spread recently about Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur and the Indian Army's Lieutenant-Colonel Shrikant Prasad Purohit by the ATS exceeded proof gathered by the squad.
''That makes it apparent that the entire exercise has remained centred on sullying the image of the BJP and its affiliates. This will spread separatism,'' he warned.
