BJP ready to face probe into crude bomb seizures
Kozhikode, Nov 15 (UNI) The BJP in Kerala today said it was prepared to face any probe into major crude bomb haul at various places in the neighbouring Kannur district of the state.
Denying the role of any BJP activist in bomb making, party state president P K Krishnadas told reporters here that a conspiracy was being hatched by its political adversaries to hunt the Sangh Parivar, including the BJP and RSS workers, in the state by attempting to link them with such incidents.
Expressing his party's willingness for a high-level probe into the seizure of 125 crude bombs from North Poyilur, near Panur, and 18 from Cheruvancherry recently, he said let the government order a an independent probe into the incident.
On the death of two RSS workers in a blast suspected to be an accident while making bombs in Cheruvanchery recently, he said it was an ''incidential'' blast that occurred at the premises of a temple.
Accusing the the CPI (M) of making political mileage out of such incidents, Mr Krishnadas said setting up of a special bomb cell by Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishan yesterday was aimed at meeting this agenda.
The BJP had information that the decision to constitute the special cell was taken by the Minister at a meeting attended by CPI(M) leaders and top rung police officers having allegience with that party, he alleged.
He also accused the CPI(M) of going slow on terror-link cases to appease Muslim outfits such as National Development Front (NDF) and People's Democratic Party (PDP) aimed at eyeing minoritity vote bank in the state.
