Bengal take on Services in Ranji at Eden tomorrow

Kolkata, Nov 15 (UNI) Bengal will take on Services in Ranji Trophy's Plate Division tomorrow without veteran pacer Shib Shankar Paul as a 14-member squad announced today got three new entries for the four-day match at the Eden Gardens.

Chairman of the CAB's selection committee Sambaran Banerjee said Paul, who did not find a place in the first eleven against Madhya Pradesh last week, was dropped due to fitness problems. Bengal conceded the first innings lead to MP in Gwalior and picked up only a point in the opener.

Besides Paul, Arindam Ghosh and Priyankar Mukherjee have also been dropped.

Sourav Sarkar came in place of Paul and opener Rohan Banerje, who was dropped at the last minute due to neck injuries sustained in the previous match, was recalled and middle order batsman Dibyendu Chakraborty, also made it to the squad.

The squad: Laxmi Ratan Shukla (Captain), Anustup Majumdar, Manoj Tiwari, Wriddhiman Saha (wicket-keeper), Soham Ghosh, Ranadeb Bose, Ashok Dinda, Avik Chowdury, Ritam Kundu, Sourav Sarkar, Rohan Banerjee, Shreevats Goswami, Iresh Saxsena, Dibyendu Chakraborty.
