Wife dumps hubby after he went for virtual 'second wife'!

London, Nov 14 : In a rather sordid instance of cyber life ruining real-life, a woman is divorcing her husband after she found his online avatar cheating on her in the virtual reality game 'Second Life'!

Players of the game create online alter egos who live full lives, including having jobs, relationships and children.

David Pollard's wife Amy caught his randy computer "self" having sex with other player's busty two-dimensional hooker.

Shocked Amy walked out on him in tears after she came to know that her besotted husband had asked the creator of the busty virtual character, a woman from US, to be his second wife. Amy, 28, who had wed David meeting him in a Yahoo chatroom five years ago, fumed after filing for divorce.

"It's the ultimate betrayal. The solicitor wasn't at all surprised - she said it was her second divorce case involving Second Life that week," The Sun quoted her as saying.

She said: "He never did anything in real life. "But I had my suspicions about what he was doing in Second Life."

In February, she caught the character having sex with the hooker and even hired an online detective to investigate.

Amy said: "I went mad - I was so hurt. It's cheating as far as I'm concerned. We made up after he promised never to cheat on me again. But two months later I caught him cuddling a woman on a sofa in the game.

"I ended up going off to his mum and dad's in floods of tears. He confessed he'd been talking to this woman player in America - then said our marriage was over."

Amy, who has already "divorced" in Second Life, has now found a new man via the game World Of Warcraft.

She claimed David and the woman in the US had agreed to wed.

David, on the other hand said: "I don't think I was really doing anything wrong."
