Telugu Literature to be promoted in Northern states
Tirupati, Nov 14 (UNI) Telugu literature would be propagated in Northern states with more books written by renowned Telugu poets translated into Hindi and distributed free of cost to various universities there Hindi Academy Chairman Yarlagadda lakshmi Prasad said today.
Addressing at a press conference here, he said the academy would propagate Telugu literature with the help of central funds. Those who translate them INTO Hindi, would be paid Rs 25,000 per publication.
The academy is felicitating prominent poets every year with Rs 1 lakh cash award, he said.
