RSS activists found guilty in Aashna case
Kannur, Nov 14 (UNI) All the 14 RSS activists accused in the bomb hurling case, in which a six-year-old girl lost one of her legs eight years ago were found guilty by a court in Thalassery today.
Fast Track Court III Judge B Ramakanth posted the case to November 17 for awarding the punishment.
However, the sixth accused in the case, Pradeep, had been killed in a bomb blast two days ago.
The incident occured on September 27, 2000 during election of the Patyam Gram Panchayat, during which bombs were thrown at rival party workers in which Aashna, who was playing in the courtyard of a house close to the polling booth, was injured and later her right-leg was amputated.
Her mother and brother were also injured in the incident.
