Prakash bows out of Champaign Challenger

Champaign, US, Nov 14 (UNI) Prakash Amritraj went down to Australia's Carsten Ballat in the second round of the 50,000 dollars ATP challenger series here.

Prakash fought well in the first set but Ballat proved better than his Indian rival and won the match 7-5, 6-3 win in the hard court event. event.

With Prakash's loss here, India's challenge in the singles also ended.

Somdev Devverman and his South African partner Izak Van Der Merwe will play their quarterfinal match against fourth seeded Serbian-Russian pair of Llia Bozoljac and Chris Haggard.
