Indian Flag on moon a fulfilment of Nehru's dream: Cong
New Delhi, Nov 14 (UNI) Paying rich tributes to Pt Jawaharlal Nehru on his 119th birth anniversary, the Congress said the planting of the Indian Flag on the moon by Chandrayaan-I tonight will be a fulfilment of Nehru's dream of a technology-advanced India.
''Sixty-one years ago Nehru launched the Indian space programme.
tonight at 2030 hrs when the Indian Tricolour is put on the moon by Chandrayaan-1, it would be a fulfilment of Nehru's dream,'' Congress spokesman Manish Tiwari told reporters.
He said the Congress salutes and pay tributes to Nehru, India's first prime minister.
The Tricolour is painted on all sides of the 29 kg Moon Impact Probe, which is attached to the main orbiting spacecraft, Chandrayaan-I, launched on October 22.
The Moon Impact Probe will land on the moon at around 2030 hrs.
