Govt to groom children into good citizens for strong nation:Nitish
Patna, Nov 14 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today said the state government would ensure all facilities to the underprivileged children to groom them into good citizens.
Addressing a function here to mark Children's Day, Mr Kumar said the state government had prepared special schemes for the downtrodden children to ensure that their personalities were not affected due to paucity of funds.
The Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone of a building 'Kilkari', which would have all facilities for games, entertainments and other activities required for the healthy growth of personality of a child.
''Children are the nation's future and every effort should be made to tap their hidden talents,'' Mr Kumar said and added if favourable conditions were provided, they would also bring laurels to the state and the nation.
He said the state government had decided to develop 170 parks in Patna which would be used by the children for playing as they remained glued to TVs after school hours in the absence of such space.
Similar parks would also be developed in other cities of the state in a phase wise programme, Mr Kumar said and added that Bihar would be developed as a strong and prosperous state.
