Bengaluru, Nov 14: A dance bar girl from Mumbai was allegedly kidnapped and raped by autorickshaw drivers in Tilak Nagar here on Wednesday, Nov 12.
The victim, aged 24, a resident of Kolkata, had come to Bangalore in search of a job. The incident occurred shortly after she landed at the Bangalore Subhas Nagar bus stand.
Police said, some persons had promised the victim in Mumbai that they would get her a placement in Bangalore and asked her to meet two of their men in the Bangalore bus stand on a scheduled date. Accordingly, when she reached the bus stand around 9:30 pm, two persons, whose identity is yet to be ascertained, took her on a bike and wanted to put her in a hotel on BVK Iyengar Road.
