BSF arrests cattle smuggler
Guwahati, Nov 14 (UNI) A cattle trader was arrested in Assam's Dhubri district when he was trying to smuggle oxen across the international border to Bangladesh.
The BSF troops last night arrested the trader, one Shah Jamal, from Alamganj area and seized 19 oxen, valued at Rs 2.40 lakh, from him.
Cattle smuggling is a recurring menace in the international border, with cattle from Indian soil smuggling meet the massive demand in Bangladesh.
